OBX 3" AWD Catback - Equivalent to the other Ebay catbacks?

everyone talks crap about ebay catbacks

here in 1 & 2G land i have read a bunch of posts from people praising the Tsudo, JapanImports, and talking up the Megan pipe etc...
i would never consider any mechanical part by OBX or other cheapo brand, but piping, maybe so....

ive searched, but cant find anyone talking about the OBX 3" catback for AWD 2G turbo.. by the pictures, it looks about the same as the JapanImports one.
anyone got any info on if they are equivalent? i realize its not top of the line, but if its the same as the JapanImports or tsudo ones that everyone seems to be happy with, id like to know

got a line on one for 134 shipped brand new
seems like a decent buy - unless there are known issues with them

They talk crap because they can and they dont like it when people spend less money for the same performance. There are a few things I would buy on ebay. Exhausts and intercooler piping are usually ok when going with ebay. Its just piping and you really cant mess it up. Only issue is the cheap piping likes to slowly rust. Ive ran ebay piping for years without an issue.

well i took the plunge and bought one - dont even need an exhaust right now
just figured for the price
there are 3 left on ebay on clearance right now
134 shipped i think there is one day left - today is 01/17/10

Aluminum ebay pipe = no rust .

Look at that vendors other exhaust for the same car, it says 2.25 you can also tell by the pictures and how big a difference there is between the piping and the resonator.

I have that exhaust and it's 2.5. Not to bad for the price. Sounds very low tone and not that ricey sound. Didn't bolt up to all the hangers so I welded up some shit. Compared to my 1g exhaust price (BR) I can't complain to much. Should've grabbed it OP!

You need to do some research sir. Turbochargers make our back pressure. That is how people are able to run exhaust out of the front bumper.

I've ran this question by a few of buddies who have been into DSM's for some time. I didn't know whether to go with an Apexi or a cheaper version in a 3" catback. All of them said the same thing... As long as it's stainless steel and 3", it shouldn't make a difference. I ended up ordering a Megan exhaust. Anxious to see how i like it once it's installed.

I've noticed that you're posting on every single thread started and never have anything even remotely helpful to say, its a good way to get your post count up but also a good way to get a bad reputation.

As for the 3" exhaust, that isn't always true, depends on the state law. Most cops tend not to care about the exhaust tone unless its an actual disturbance, as long as he doesn't go around a neighborhood revving his engine at 3am he should be fine.
