Well im trying to get a 3" Thermal R&D catback for a reasonable price. I want to know why the Catbacks are designed and priced differently. The exhaust system is for a '90 talon awd.

*This link is from MAPerformance.com:

Thermal 3" Catback Exhaust DSM - Modern Automotive Performance

*This is from A1-Motorsports.com:

Thermal R&D Turbo 3" Systems - A1 Motorsports - SEIBON, VIS RACING, AEM, DC SPORTS, INJEN, NRG, SPARCO, TEIN, APEXI, SKUNK2, EIBACH, GREDDY, HKS

The MAPerformance exhaust system is cheaper than the A1-Motorsports. All inputs would be appreciated.

It looks like the first one is more of a bullet style muffler as the lower one is more of an original muffler shape. So the top would probably be considerably louder than the bottom one. Why don't you just get a custom catback made for a quarter of that price?

They are the exact same catback. Same model numbers at both places (Thermal B303-C303). The price depends on the vendor.

I dont know, I've heard nothing but good for the thermal r&d catback and I love how it sounds. I know its a bit pricey but I think its worth it.

They have the same model number but why is it showing different pics is it because one is an exact picture of the model number and the other isn't?

Also I wanted to know if I get a full 3" downpipe would it bolt up wit my stock 1g o2 housing?

It will but the exhaust sizes will be different. The 1g is a 2 inch exhaust outlet i believe out of the 02 whereas the 3inch downpipe will be a 2.5 inlet.
