obd2 interface and cable question?

the aove site has a decent deal on the usb set up with all cords and interface. now i want to know if this will work and also would i need to download the logging software. also is this a good set up. has anyone used it before? lmk your thoughts and if i can get away cheaper.

btw. im driving a 2g with an OBD2 plug.

Get Evoscan instead. It's about the same cost. Or better yet, check if you have an EPROM ecu. If you do, look at ECMLink. A little higher price, but one of the best tuning devices out there.

so thats the software. they have cables but they want $99 so if i but the other cable listed and then that software i should be set right.

No, you need that cable. It's much much better than OBD2 though. I can only get 4 readings per second from OBD2. With Evoscan, you can get 100-120 or more. Plus, you get readings that actually matter, like knock sums.

i was able to download a palm emmulator and OBDgauge and another program to run on my laptop. my next question is do i need an interface of can i just get an OBD2 to serial plug.
