General OBD II interface?

How do i know which one do i have. when i look a the interface where it connects to the obd port in the car, it only have 4 pins? is that how it is suppose to be? i bought the ebay datalogging kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2G-D...ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Mitsubishi switched over to OBDII in 1995, so all 2gs are OBDII compliant. According to the link, the logger you purchased is compatible.

it will not work!! for some odd reason the only interface that works with our car are the multiplex t16!

I've had no problem using several ISO loggers. You can't use the proprietary Ford and GM loggers though.
