O2 Sensor Readings ECMLINK V3 Lite

Ok, so here is my situation...I installed, to my belief, a 2g maf! The numbers listed on this maf are 055/E5T05071/1517A! When we installed link, we set it up for a 2g maf and had difficulties with an idle tune! The O2 sensor would slowly slump to 0.0v and the computer never made and CombFT adjustments! Well, my friend did a quick search on his phone and found something that stated this maf was considered a 3g maf! So we switched the settings, bingo...everything started to work? My question here is, everyone lists my maf to be the same as the 2g "609" maf, so wouldn't I need to have my link settings as a "2g" maf setup? Also, why would my O2 sensor not cycle on the "2g" selection, but then seem to cycle perfectly when "evo8/3g" is selected?

Those part numbers are for a 2g "609" equivalent maf.

No idea on why it wouldn't work under 2g settings.

Perhaps something went wrong with the rewire, or maybe the maf is bad.
