this is it.. but the autopart store kept showing a pic of a sensor that is 1/2 this size... but every sensor they get is this big...

what can be done here?
I'm lost.
can i use an old trick i did on hondas, where i used a defouler kit and hollowed out the inside and put this into it while atytaching it to the o2 housing? this will mess up it's readings a lil, you recon it would be a big deal?

it needs to fit on this and it doesn't..

need help asap

I'd get rid of that funky 02 housing then your sensor will clear the external gate. Those welds look willow tree anyways.

okay................ you didn't understand.

the sensor is brand new.

the center portion of the sensor will not even go into the hole.
it is not anywhere near hitting the ugly external wastegate.and welds.

my problem is every sensor they give me the actual sensor part won't even go into the hole for the threads to start.

Have you ran this o2 before? Can you compare the old sensor is what I'm getting at? Wrong thread size? Your o2 housing looks like the punishment racing external dump for an internally gated turbo with the dump tube cut and your external flange welded in its place?!?!

EDIT: Autozone shows two sensors- generic and oe fittment. The one you bought was the generic. The oe looks completely different and is the one you'll need.

it may be i don't know... i baught it off a twentyfivepsi on here....

it's been 3 years since i blew it up and i have no clue where the o2 sensor went..... but the threads look like they would work, except the end is to big to go in to allow them. and i don't want to screw up my o2 housing reeming it out.

can someone post a pic of their upstream sensor for me.
nope i baught the oe, and we compared it to the generic and they look the same.

I think the high school drop outs at the auto parts store sold you the wrong sensor. The 1g and 2g sensor is exactly the same except for the harness plug (round vs square). All of my o2 sensors laying around the shop are thinner than what you pictured (both Bosch and Denso).

I had that problem on my 240sx...I just filed out the inside of the bung a little bit. I guess there was a bit of slag in there when they welded it.

i guess i'm gona try a different store and see what my luck brings..

do i have to remove the driver seat to unplug and replug the rear o2 sensor by chance?

That sensor is not a dsm o2. The stock one is thinner. That looks like some type of wbo2 like my sentra uses. It will not fit into most regular sized o2 bungs ( attempted to make an o2 sim).

All the more to you! I would consider your success rare. But if you cant sell the correct o2 sensor then....

I didn't mean to offend anyone, its just me stereotyping :rocks:

easy................. i made this one work...... we'll see if it works when i start the car though.
