I just logged last night with my dsmlink for the second time, now that i know how to get different values on it. Anyway i noticed that my front o2 sensor reading was all over the place. Every second it would go from between .17-.25 up to around .8 Is it normal for it to vary like that every second or is my front o2 bad?

Defiant, a man of few words, but correct.

The O2 sensors job is to keep the fuel mixture at "stoich (14.7/1)". With varying amounts of air coming in there's no way the ECU can react fast enough to keep it at a steady 14.7/1 so it shoots a certain amount of fuel to the motor, the O2 sensor gives a reading and adjust the next "squirt" to the motor. At the next "pass" the ECU determines if the "squirt" was accurate or not and adjusts accordingly. It rarely hits the mark so it's a matter of adjustments most of the time. You're "seeing" the adjustments which are perfectly normal during closed loop operation.

During WOT (open loop) the O2 sensor should be fairly steady in the lower .9 range. However, you don't really want to tune off O2 readings, especially with DSMLink.

With DSMLink, the addition of a WB O2 and at least a 3BAR MAP sensor will greatly enhance the package.
