Well I managed to blow up the 16g. So time for a rebuild and turbo upgrades

A tdo6 housing with a three inch inlet and anti surge. Down firing
A billet 6+6 extended tip compressor wheel.
Still using the 080 FP hot side housing.
And a different waste gate actuator. Before the turbo went South.

So after blowing up the 16g I decided a rebuild was in order with some up grades and mods were in order.

XXR 535, 8 1/4 chromium black with a 35 offset. Tires are a 245/40/17 Hankook ventus, v12,evo.

When I got the car it was black with the red seats and some white here and there. Well were it was scratched was tan underneath. So someone did a mega spray bomb inside. All I did was bring it back cleaner with no spray bomb treatment.

Roughly 2 years ago on the return trip home she started to knock and had to have her towed home.

When i was looking for a 2g I couldnt find a gsx that I liked and setteld on this gst for the main reason that it was clean and low millage 60k something . It just needed to be put back together. Now prior to me getting this car i had aquired alot of awd goodies some of which i used and some that stayed in storage. So when the motor spun i decided to put together a new build plan and transform the car yet again to build my dream car .

Ok with car gutted of most of it mech items the time for the rebuild has begun. Now following the AWD swap threads on tuners the drive shaft hanger, only one needed with DSS drive shaft needed. Gas tank mounts and the subframe mounts are all done.

The rear AWD items have been blasted powder coated or painted. New

Rear subframe installed along with gas tank. Rear floor cut out.

Also the past 2 years I have been working on a jig for the rear subframe so as to make my own version.

St 3g rear sway bar, some megan rear arms, evo white line endlinks. Im mounting the endlinks to the knukles. The reason im using the 3g bar , its a little stiffer and i am making a custom rear exhuast. To route the exhuast the way I need I will have to have 4 inches or more of wiggle room between the sway bar and rear diff. Also with all this mock up it will allow me to change the jig setup for the sway bar location.

Exhaust routing, this is rough fit , being held up with bungie cords. I also plan on making a rear diffuser that will hopefully draft air out of the rear wheel arches. Also not the rear Talon conversion.

Rear brake up grade from the early 2g vented to the 13 inch 4 piston rear. The use a machined stock center section so as retain the ebrake

The fronts are 13 inch also with aluminum hats and 6 piston caliper.

Thanks. I finnaly came up with my own rear subframe design. So i guess a major garage clean up is in order so i can work on it this winter.

The 2g uses 4 points to mount the subframe . Im gonna use 6 . Im gonna tie into the lower floor crossmember to create the other 2 mounts . This should reduce the amount of diagonal cross tubing . Rough idea picks

Gst to awd gas tank install the easy way.
Thier are 4 bolts that need relocated to mount the gas tank. When u have ur bolts weld a tab to the bolt head to keep it from spinning. I think it was like a inch or 2. Now on each crossmember thier are thier are some bigger diam holes that the bolt and tab will almost bit but not quite. So use a big step bit to open the hole just enough to get the bolt thru. Now the tricky part find a bolt smaller in diam ,fire up the welder and spool out about 10 to 18 inches of welding wire. Now tab the wire end to the bolt and lock it to the bolt. Wrap the wire in the threads till u get to the end of the threads. Remove the smaller bolt and replace with the gastank bolt . Now this will allow you fish the bolt thru to proper location. When the bolt is thru slide a star washer on. The washer keeps the bolt in the hole and welded tab keels the bolt from spinning. The pick is a bolt for installing a hitch on a truck.
