I get the car back from my mechanic and i just had a new clutch put in. When I drive it home im going and it everything is engaging and is great but when i accelerate to hit boost it just goes up to hit boost and wont go any higher, my o2 dump sounds a little but wont go any higher and makes a type of studdering back fire noise? What could this be? Im going to do a boost leak test so if thats all your going to say please dont reply..thanks Steve.

Check ## waste gate actuator. Theres two bolts that hold the actuator via bracket mounted to turbo housing. I had a similar situation only my bolts just disappeard while driving. I think you'll find these are missing and you will need to find some bolts that thread in there. let me know what you find:thumb:

Fuel pump could be bad too

I Just had a 190 walbro put it in not too long ago.

You werent hitting boost from just that? Are those bolts on the top of the wastegate actuator?

Sounds like you need to do a boost leak test on the car as they probably forgot to tighten a hose clamp they loosened while they R&R the transmission

Your blow off valve could be bad, shot waste gate, cruddy piping. It could be a number of things. do you hear the turbo spool at all? Maybe clogged injectors but i would think it would still boost ok.

Its just weird cause i havent even got on it at all. Recently i havent even drove it. Ive been looking for things that arent hooked up right or not hooked up at all but not finding anything. I found a few clamps on the lower intercooler piping that were a kinda loose but tightened them all. Im taking a boost leak test today ill let you guys know what happens.
