2G Not getting boost, but turbo spools

I was thinking the obvious which would be boost leak, but wondering about any other suggestions as to what it could be a while I'm at it. Under acceleration the car is slow, not just turbo lag but boost will not kick in, although I can hear the turbo whistle and the boost gauge works works fine. Also problem happened suddenly 2 days ago. Going to do the soap and water test! And check all my lines. Any other suggestions?

Note I put in brand new plugs 2 weeks ago, I didn't pull out ECU but I'm not having other electrical problems no fishy smell

The wastegate could be stuck open.
