Not boosting in 1st gear.

Everytime I step on the throttle from a stop my boost gauge never reads me going past the first bar (stock gauge). If I step on from a roll, maybe 10mph, it always boosts. In every other gear the boost always goes all the way to the plus. Is this normal or is something wrong that I need to be checking out? Any help is appreciated guys.

To me personally I never trust stock gauges like that. Possibilty you have a boost leak. I would also check into getting a aftermarket gauge and go from there.

The stock gauge is ran through the ECU and is not accurate at all, more for show. The turbo does not boost or does the guage not read? There is a difference. If the car still pulls than its boosting. Dont worry about the guage not reading right as long as your turbos boosting. Now if the gauge stops working all together that means something but not sure what it was again. Get a real boost guage
