I have a 90 talon tsi awd. When I'm in first gear, and try to make boost it will boost to around 5-6 psi. Then the car back fires, and bucks till I let off. I just replaced the coil pack. When I had the old coil pack in the problem was worse, and I had the same problem in 2nd-3rd gear. Now the car pulls great in all gears except 1st.
Before my clutch went out I had the stock 450's, evo9 fp, nt-fpr, and stock eprom chip. It ran great with this setup before I changed it. Now I have 550cc inj. mitsu specialties chip for 550's, stock mas, and turbo fpr. I have noticed really high timing compared to other people on here. I have seen it as high as 40, and I'm logging with mmcd.

I did forget to mention I am running un-circ bov right now. The reason being I need to find a rubber hose to fit the position the bov is in. I took the car down the road, and there was a huge improvement, but it still has the problem. It doesn't occur as much, and it will boost fine in 1st most of the time. Could it be running to rich? My o2 sensor stopped cycling for some reason. On a full throttle pull the timing is sitting at around 19-20 degrees. Is that okay?
