I have one 60mm non-turbo throttle body and I would like to put it on my 92 turbo laser.
I'm bulding intake piping and this NT body would be great to clamb 2.75" intake hose directly into throttle body without any extra body elbows. Non turbo has 3 vacuum lines istead of 4 in turbo body.
Has anyone used or has experienced with NT throttle body?

Pleanty of people use them. They are not any bigger than a 1g turbo throttle body.
Just make sure the one you have isnt from a 90 car.

Thanks, that's what i figured out. Just need to check those vacuum lines. Saves some of my welding job!

Welcome to my world! LOL
I'm running the N/T throttle body only because i converted my car to turbo. Yep it only has three vacuum lines and i capped them all off. Works pritty well. Just make sure you got good TB shaft seals in there before installing. And don't go with 0-rings like the vfaq states because the N/T throttle bodies dont have the metal casing that goes over the O-ring. I learned the hard way and found out later down the line that im leaking from my TB shaft OMG

I see your set-up. I have re-located my battery so I have more room and don't need so sharp angle. Allso I'm putting on PWR intercooler, so that works pretty well. Just one 90 deg angle after cooler to throttle body.

hey,
as for 1G TB, bought turbo 1G TB with 3nipples(actually is in mail)
how can I check its not from 90´,wanna be sure i run that right 92-94turbo TB(90´TBs got just two nipples:confused: ??)
BTW what about nipples, on RRE site found have to run 4nipples TB, since my emission stuff is OUT a car;) I don´t need that vacuum ports.
I just need to swap TPS from my 2G into 1G TB and ISC can run 1Gs. I think:confused:
Let me know if Iam wrong please.
Thank you guys

If the TB has three(3) nipples then its a N/T Throttle body. I beleive all Turbo TB's have 4 nipples. the 90 TB has 2 pairs of nipples. They aren't all together, the later model Turbo TB's have three nipples together and the 4th is pointed at an angel away from the others.

Go to autozone or something and pick up caps for the nipples and just cap them all off.

I don't know about the ISC working from a 2g to a 1g. I know that a 90 ISC will not fit in later 1g TB's. I have seen them both and there different

It's easy to tell between a 90 and later 1g TB's.... the bolt pattern where the TPS mounts is completely different. The 90 uses a much smaller TPS mount. There are other differences of course... but that's the easiest to remember. Also, 2g turbo cars use the same ISC motor as 1g's. The only DSMs that use different ISC motors are 1.8L, 2gNT, and some odd early 90 models. I have seen 90's that used the normal style ISC though too. As a side note, 4g63 galants, all diamante's and all the 3S cars use the same ISC also.
