Hello everyone
I am working on a 95 Eclipse with a 4g63 it was in a accident and got body work done. I was wondering if this year model has a kill switch for when you get into accidents?

I think you might be talking about the Auto Shutdown Relay or ASD relay which is only 2g 420A non-turbo (on firewall). I'd look up that wiring diagram and seeing where that relay begins at from the ECU. I believe you can jump it. But you'd have to know what pins to jump so don't just go jumping around :D.

Do you have a oscilloscope handy? You want to check the crank sensor and cam sensor signals. You could do it the slow way and pull a coil plug, attach a spark plug to it (uninstall the sparkplug if you don't have an old one laying around. have someone crank the engine- while holding the spark plug almost touching the valve cover. If it has spark and you've done all these tests already..

The scope really lets you see if your sensors are good and giving their signals. Otherwise you're kinda just chasing your tail.

If you got a verified cam and crank signal, and you can verify things like

Fuel pressure
Fuel pump working, wiring harness is giving voltage on a DVOM multimeter

ETC.. ETC...

I'd look into the fuel injectors to verify they are firing.
They need a signal sent from the computer. You verify this all through the resistor box, injectors, and ECU pins located in a 2g pin out. Just google "2g 95 ECU pin out".

Then you'd basically find the pins. If you really wanna nerd out. Check out my build thread. Worst thing it could be would be a rusty tank.

Cause you could go through ALL "tHe dIaGnOsIs" and still just be awed at something as simple as cracking open the fuel tank assembly and pulling the fuel hanger. Its simple af. You can check out my build thread on that.

Just kinda skip the thread. There's different diagnosis points. I go into depth at some point about pins.. Fuel pump relay testing, cleaning up grounds.

"all the diagnosis'"

Yup. :beatentodeath: :sneaky:
IDK maybe you're into all that.

I didn't think I would be. It's been like 12 or so years with this ole girl. Another great advice I wish I had heard sooner would be to create a build thread. Just start documenting, taking pictures of work you're doing. It'll attract the right people. It might get lonely too though hehe.

Where are you located?

Thank you for all this great intel I got it running tonight ended up being the fuel pump or so I think it sat for a few years checked power to tank had 12v removed hose with clamp going to top of tank cranked it nothing then when I stopped cranking the fuel started to pour out. Reconnected hoses and boom it started! I’m in new bruanfels tx

I have a couple pics of my progress I might start a build thread thanks I’ll look yours up
