was drivin my 92 talon. and suddenly realized something was wrong. wasnt boosting that much. simple driving. now when i drive the turbo makes a wizzing noize. and a rattling when i give it a little gas. the rattling sounds from under the car. checked the exhaust everything looks still connected and not like anything rattled loose. checked for broken or loose vacum lines. the boost gauge doesnt go past 2 and has zero power. i dont think that anything could have made its way into the turbo. im gonna check the fins tommorow. any ideas please hit me up...

Take off your air intake snorkel and check your compressor shaft for play. Push up and down, side to side and in and out. Over 2 mm might be problem if it moves that much. This is a pretty good way to check the turbo.

If the turbo is fine do a boost leak test.

Check your wastegate actuator if the turbos shaft play is within specs. It has been known for the arm to fall off the wastegate and blow open..

I have a similar problem, I get boost, but a slower spool due to a crack in the exhaust manifold.
Check for exhaust leaks, boost leaks and shaft play.
