Read over all the threads...

1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - A/T

Drove car all winter, then let it sit, started it up to move it.. put it in reverse to back it next to a fence, it stalled, wouldn't start and battery was like dead so i pushed it rest of the way...

Well now 3months later i put a new battery in car would not fire, thought maybe it had no gas, put in 5gallons.. nothing.. checked for fuel, fuel is getting to the rail. Injectors looked to be working as spark plugs were wet. Car is not getting spark, Ive read many threads about this happening but i may have done this..

I removed a remote start. It was installed with the clips so when i wanted to remove it all i had to do is pull the clips. Also removed some radio stuff, changer and rf module. I did arch some wires on radio but dont see that being a problem as i did try to start the car before i even removed anything.

I swapped out 3 different coil packs. And also swapped out Power Transistor, did not bolt coil pack or transistor down as i just wanted to check. tried a brand new plug and multiple wires on valve cover, even tried with screw driver in coil then touch and nothing.

I dont know what to do. Did my ecu just go or am i over looking something. i wouldn't think anything like tempsensor would not make no spark.

Have you taken your ecu out and checked it? Are you sure you have the coil pack plugged into the right plug? I have seen it where people plugged it in where the ac plugs in..

fix what you broke first. Check the fuses if you arched wires a fuse would have blown. The radio fuse and OBDII plug share a circuit im not sure what else is on that fuse. I would check fuses first.

oddly enoug my old gst had this problem and i thought the same things . so i had someone try to jump my car and it started from the jump but the moment the jumpers were removed the car died . The battery was dead , however what I didnt know is that my altenator fuse was blown. Like Rush said check each fuse carefully. I arched wires in my radio and then parked the car to work on my new project and then that happened. So check it out man hope the best

ECU is fine, took apart and was very clean, there was a little bit of something brownish but very light around i think it was r122, the 4 little blue things near were u would plug in.

Coil pack can only be plugged in 1 way as the other wire is to short to reach. Car is bone stock so all the clip holders are in place. Either way though, car stalled like this and i didnt mess with those.

Fuses underhood check out, and radio never stopped working anyway.

Still no spark.

I have it hooked to a battery charger whole time because i always cranking to see and battery just dies, also had my trans am jumping it for a hr with battery charger on it, still no spark.

Both have to do with fuel/spark if either one is bad the car wont run. It could be powertransister as well, BUT I think and dont quote me it only drive the coil pack.

You 100% that there are no blown fuses anywhere? DO you have access to a code reader? It might have thrown a code before it quite running. Unless the car starts you wont know for sure.

Try turning the key on and make sure the CEL lights up for 10-20 seconds and then goes out. If it does then the ECU self test is good.

I would double check the cam angle and crank angle sensors. Double check all the plugins under the hood and make sure they are all good. Try and trace wires as far as you can. Maybe a rodent chewed some up over winter?

How did you check the under hood fuses/relays. On my old 96 gst, I had the same problem, everything "looked" fine, the fusible links "looked" good, but the motor fuse/fusible link, was blown. It wasn't obvious, it "looked" normal.
(Noticing a trend)

Check the fuses again, you can swap fuses with each other to see if that it. I swapped my power window fusible link with the motor one and it worked.

Check it out.

Another option to make sure the cam and crank sensors are/aren't working is to get a 1G CAS and the harness and do a temporary wire harness and hook it up that way. That is what I did on mine when it wouldn't start. You have to remember to reverse the order of the spark plug wires but other than that, it will start if one of those is the problem. I ended up doing this and changing out everything in the fuel and spark system except for the injectors and nothing worked. Once I took the injectors to a shop and got them cleaned and back in, the car fired right up.

Car is fixed and running. What happen is the balance shaft belt went and apparently took out the crank positioning sensor. replaced belt, retimed everything, new sensor and started right up. Thanks for all the help.

1995 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 non turbo......has anybody solved this problem if so please please tell me ### it is.....checked all fuses relays under the hood and in the car......not getting any spark and i cant hear the fuel pump working and injectors have no power flowing

i have a 97 eclipse rs 5 speed had my head rebuilt and it ran good for 30 miles i got off the off ramp and car shut off when slowing down i changed the ecu crank and cam sensor asd relay coil pack checked all the fuses in the fuse box did my timing 4 times and still doesnt start it has fuel but doesnt spark thats my only problem if anyone can help or know someone that could help it would be greatly appreciated thanks...
