Well I decided to take the motor out of my car and put it in my other shell. The cars are both the same year 1990 awd. I check all the fuse under the dash and in the engine bay and nothing is blown. I also made sure everything grounded. The car crank over but won't start. When I turn the car on the check engine light doesn't come up or factory boost gauge also doesn't move. I did a search and tried everything already but nothing. Anyone ever had this problem please help

I would say it sounds like something not connected check ALL the harness connectors again, Sounds like an CAS not connected from what your description of the problem.

Something similar happened to me when I forgot to reconnect the air cleaner cluster connector.

Hope this helps

Definitely sounds like something is not connected, some harness. This has happened to me before. Just double check everything. And if you did and everything looks right, I would go with a bad ecu.

I have never had a bad ecu, so I can not be for sure that is the problem, but I searched and bad ecu sounds like source if no harnesses are detached or severed.

Ok some other people hit on the right topics, every fuel injected car should have a check engine light when you turn the key to the "on" position before you start the car. If the check engine light isnt lighting up that means the pcm is dead. Im glad you posted that!

OK, if you are comfortable and know what to do, get a wiring diagram and check all the power and ground circuits going to the PCM, you can do this with the pcm unplugged.

If you dont have power start checking relays, fuses, etc. If you dont have ground, try adding a temporary ground and see if it fixes it. Either way you will have to get friendly with a wiring diagram and figure out the power flow. If you check the power and ground and they are OK, then you most likely have a bad PCM that has the leaking capacitor caps.

Good luck and post if you have more questions or you need clarification. And dont forget KISS, keep is simple stupid, im not being mean im just saying dont overlook things that you assume are ok.

I'll check the harness again tommorrow moring. I pretty sure my ecu is good I taken it apart and check to see if anything is burnt out or blown and everything seem fine, also I have dsmlink would that make my other car not start?

Well then you know that the ECU isn't running so it's no surprise that the engine won't.

Did you swap ECU's along with the engine or is this one an unknown.
I've posted the process here before for what happens when you turn the ignition on normally.

I tried the ecu in my other car and it fired up right away, so I know that it not my ecu. I will check on the harness again. thanks everyone for the help

Good input. Those links should help you. Check at the MPI relay for power and at the ECU for the backup power and that you see the ignition switch.

Thanks to everyone I got the ecu to power up. I check for spark and now I have spark, but my fuel gauge read zero. So now I just have to find out what's going on with my fuel. I can hear the fuel pump and it a walbro pump so it pretty loud. I check and have gas so that not the problem. The PO taken the gas tank out, so I used the one that was on my other car. I checked everything and made sure all hose is connected from the tank, but still nothing coming to the fuel rail. Do I have to prime the fuel pump? With school and work full time I barely have time to do anything. Thanks again for everyone help. Hopefully I can get this thing up and running soon.

So what did you have to do to fix your ECU problem?

When you say your fuel gauge reads zero, which are you referring to? The fuel gauge in the cluster or a fuel pressure gauge under the hood. If the fuel pump assembly was out the PO could have damaged the sender or hung it up. Neither case would cause you to not have fuel at the rail.

There was a relay or something right by the radio that was bad I swap it out with the one I had in my car. I have a fuel pressure gauge under the hood. Tommorrow I'll do some testing on the fuel system to see what going on.

That's the MPI relay and it also controls the fuel pump.
