Did you check the transistor pack? Is there any other noticeable electrical problems? I ran into a shitload of problems because of poor grounds.

Sorry to hear you are having issues, its tough when you run into a cause for a motor swap and decide to tackle it for the first time only to get through the swap and find that you can't start the damn thing LOL. I've been there man, take a breath and just be methodical. You mentioned you changed a few things but I didn't really see any mention of testing to see if they are in fact working? Many of these used parts that we aquire are in worse condition than the ones we are replacing so I hope you're not chasing your tail by using unknown stuff??? When you replaced your plugs did you notice if they were wet or not, would be a quick tell that your injectors are firing at least which would mean at least half the CAS works.

The first thing I would do personally at this point if you're not sure on the plugs is to let the fuel system bleed pressure and drain back, pull the CAS but leave it plugged in, and spin it by hand to see if you get injectors clicking (make sure to pull correct fuse too so fuel pump isn't primed!). This will give you a good indicator of whether the CAS is in fact doing its job since on the 1g's they give both fuel and spark signals.

Are you in fact using the AEM EMS in your profile at this point or a factory ECU for break in? I have zero experience with the AEM system, only DSMLink so you very well could just have a configuration issue. Who set up the AEM for your basemap and settings if you are using it?

Good luck, post back and we'll get you up and running!!

It wouldn't be a DSM if it started on the first try! Done two rebuilds and had issues both times that needed sorting out. One of those times, the spark plug wires were in a different sequence than the injector wires, so check those closely.

+1 to this..I spent 30 minutes yelling terrible things at my engine until the lightbulb went on LOL

Im not really sure if it does or it doesn't. All I know is if u go outside and unplug it your car will not start since the coolant temp sensor is needed to make it run.

Your coolant temp sensor is NOT needed to start your car.

Check the factory service manual wiring diagram if you do not believe me. The coolant sensor has nothing to do with spark.

If you unplug yours and your car won't start, you have an entirely new subset of problems to diagnose.

This is correct. The CTS has no effect on spark, however, it is used (along with a bunch of other sensors) by the ECU to determine how much fuel to inject (which, of course, has a large effect on starting the engine and keeping it running).

Well sorry all been super busy but the parts that have been replaced wires plugs coil and power transistor were all 100% brand new as I purchased them from autozone and as far as the ecu goes no I am not using my aem ems I am using the stock ecu for now as I can't afford a tune at this time and I need the car running for my job I recently started and I have tried messing with the wires on the coolant temp sensor but did notice that the coolant temp sending unit the tab is broke off that for the wire and was overlooked and will need replaced but I doubt that would be causing a no spark please help all this help has been much appreciated

All my grounds I have checked and checked again en less I'm missing some I have from intake to firewall and I have one from starter harness to trans am I missing one

Also what do you mean that the plug wires could be different than the injector wires?

Very true.... But the OP said he did not have spark. It was suggested he look into the coolant temp sensor, which has no effect on spark. If we are talking about a no start, I agree... He could check the CTS.

The op did just state that he does have a broken spot on the CTS so maybe he should fix that then report back if it starts or not
Absolutely. A faulty CTS (whatever the cause) is a known source of problems for a DSM. Whether that is the cause of his no start doesn't matter. It's something that should be fixed regardless, I absolutely agree with that. In fact, this notion that a particular problem HAS to be the result of ONE SINGLE problem is ridiculous. It's possible, even common, to have more than one cause for a particular set of circumstances. It's always a source of amusement to me that some guys get absolutely fixated on a single thing and simply ignore everything else. (I'm not suggesting that applies to anyone in this thread, just a general observation).

With regard to the issue of injector wires and spark plug wires, since you are running a stock ecu, your firing order should be stock.

However, in cars that have had a 6-bolt swap, the injector wires on the ecu plug are switched around in a different sequence, requiring you to switch the spark plug wire sequence when you install the plug wires.

Was this a straight-up rebuild? Did you modify any of the ignition Cam Angle Sensor system? Was the engine running before the rebuild? Was the previous owner running the same engine with the same ecu, or has something changed?
