Fresh build, no spark!!!

Well my motor is installed, fluids are pumping, after i got done priming the pump, I went to start the car, and no spark......

Well I have a 6-bolt swap, 7-bolt head, 1G Hall effect CAS.

The CAS is correct for TDC. I also rotated it and still no spark.

The CAS is wired correctly, was wired per diagram, tested continuity through and through, everything checked out.

Coils were working on my old car, they were bolted up the exact same. I took each spark plug out of the holes and put a spark plug i had laying around in, grounded it, then i cranked it and no spark.

I checked fuses also.

My only concern is when putting my fuel rail and etc back on, i ran the big ugly wiring harness that goes above the manifold, below the intake plenum..Nothing id expect to mess anything up..

I also shaved something off the bracket that the coil packs sit on..i think it was the holder for the plastic connector that the coil packs plug into...

Well, any help would be appreciated, i need to start this car.

Went and checked connectors, none seem to be wrong....ugh what should i check!?

Im sorry friend there is not distributor his car. The 1.8l had them. If you had a voltmeter handy i would check to see if you had power going to the coil pack connector an then work my way down the list of things from ecu to coil pack. Theres that little black box that is associated with the coil pack i cannot remember the name of that thing for the life of me i think its a power transistor but if that goes bad you wont have spark. If you had a spare coil pack set i would slap it on an try it. I ran into this stuff when i did my start up.

On a 6-bolt swap I believe you need to run the wire 2,3,4,1. Instead of the normal 4,1,2,3

Its best if you've got a buddy with a running 2g thats willing to let you borrow these parts to help narrow it down.

I'd look into new spark plug wires

Also you can buy a new coil from autozone and if it still doesnt start, you can always return it

No, only reason for changing firing order on 2g's is for the use of Eprom ECU's

Ok. thanks DSM PWR, It's not anything to do with my plug order, either way, im not getting spark at all. Im almost sure its that 1G CAS, because thats the only thing i added during the 6-bolt swap, and i wired into the cranks and cas harness.
Ill test the voltages going to it.

Sounds like a bad CAS. They are hard to come by, they don't really go bad in my experience...but anything can happen.

You sure you did the wiring right?

yep, i did the wiring the way the diagram shows it, but i used those crimpon connectors, instead of soldering, could that be my problem?? I tested for continuity with no load and it tested out just fine.

I just need to know how to test the CAS?? Do i do it when cranking the car over, or jsut with the key on. Then i can read the voltages and tell ya
