fresh build now knock

ok i just built my 6 bolt with forged internals. drove it 45 moles and now its knocking badly. any ideas. torqued everything to specs also.

Ow, I say pull the oil pan and check if any of the bearings have signs of wear =/.. I know, it sucks.. Also check your timing. Who knows, it might of jumped and it could be valve tapping..

Proper oil? Proper break in procedure? Proper timing? Questions to ask yourself.

Was everything totally disassembled, and cleaned? Was the engine rebuilt from a previous failure, and were any of the old parts reused? Also, what were the out of round specs for the rod journals, and rod big ends? Were the piston pin clearances in spec?

everything is fresh and new only used parts were oil squirters. i didn't even have time to go full break in procedure. i asked a friend who has been building for years and he said possible wrist pin. not sure tho

Tear it apart, someone dropped the ball and botched the assembly.

What oil pump did you use? If its already knocking chances are you wont be able to save it not trying to be negative nancy but the damage is already done. I don't know if this would have caused it but did you prime the oil pump with grease(I always do)? Or did you leave it dry when You bolted it on? Did you use assembly lube on the bearings?

i did everything right. except one thing. They sent me the wrong bearings and i was stupid enough to not look at the oil holes that were not lined up. so i got all new bearings and #2 rod and now its all back together. it runs good so far. i got on the highway and ripped on it a lil bit and broke my 3rd & 4th shift fork. it sucks. i had to trade my 1000cc precision injectors for a used trans so if it dosent work ill be irate . but it pulls pretty hard
