I just rebuilt the 7 bolt in my 95 gsx and i have no spark or fuel. I replaced the CAS because i broke the old one but i kept the old CPS. It turns over with tons of compression and i tested the harness side of the sensors with the key on and it was only .7 volts. I also checked the ECU and it visually looked good. Im completely lost and confused as to why its doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: I also checked the coil and Power transistor and both were also good.

Testing the CPS is just like a CAS right? Just prong the connector and ground the multimeter. Ill probably just buy a new one and be done with it. Thanks for the quick replys. I thought that it might be the CPS pulling fuel and spark but i wasn't for sure.

if both the cas and cps dont send a signal to the ecu in time with the motor the ecu will not give fuel or spark, on a 2g

Ok thanks a lot guys im going to pull the CPS and replace it Ill get back to you guys soon with the results! EDIT: Just a little update i pulled the CPS and it looks terrible. Something just doesnt look right about it. Ill buy one tomorrow and put it on and Ill post again!

Well i replaced the CPS and it still has no spark and no Fuel. It has fuel in the rail but none squirting in. IM freaking clueless as to what might be wrong.

i would double check mechanical timing
is the trigger ring on the crank damaged? where the cps gets its signal from.
i would go over the wiring and check resistance between the connector and ecu.

Yea, I got the same problem. m-_-m Here is my post:

Yes, the check engine light comes on for 5 secs. I can hear the fuel pump loading up, and I hear the clicking behind the radio after tring to start the car. I replaced the CAS when the head was off. Did not have any spark issues before, just a burned valve. I do know if I leave the key in the on position every once in awhile I hear a humming noise from under the hood. OMG IDK but something is funny here. When I timed the engine I could not get the crank 100% in time with the cams. It is like 1/2 a tootk off. I figure the sensor will adjust? Anywho, thanks for all the help guys. Also I had to take the gas cap off because fuel kept coming out the fuel lines.. Oh and the battery was off for a couple days. I can't think of anything else.

OMG Just found my problem. I hope it is your problem too. When I conected the plugs atop the AC compressor I just connected by color code of the plug, well the AC and the crank sensor have the same color plug, but if you look at the wires you will see the CPS has a blk, red, blue wire and the AC only has black. Go look to make sure the blk, red, blue wired plug is connected to the plug with the same color wires running to it. Hope this is your problem ^g
