I am having a problem with my radio (Pioneer AVH-270BT) not having any sound. I am wanting to use all 6 speakers. I read in order to use the dash speakers, the amp has to be used. When I wire everything up the radio will turn on, read CDs, and act like it's working but I have no sound. I'm not an audio guy but I have installed a few systems into my old rides but none have had amps or anything like this.

If I take the old stock radio and plug it back up. I have sound, but when I plug the aftermarket radio in I have no sound at all. So I bought this line converter thing, thinking that would help. It didn't, if there's someone on here that knows what I need to do to be able to use all 6 speakers I'm all ears.

I have probably read every single post on here about the radios but I have not came across anything that helps with my situation. This is everything I have bought in order to wire the system up without cutting the harness. When I bought the car the radio was crimped into the harness. So I used a radio harness out of a parts car I had at the time. There is one wire that doesn't connect anywhere on my cars dash harness, I chalked that up to being the power wire for the power antenna since this car doesn't have power antenna it wouldn't have a home.

Like it said a stock radio will work in the car and use all 6 speakers, if it had an aux port I would leave it alone. But it's just a AM/FM, CD, cassette. Sorry for the long post, just trying to give as much information as possible.

Obviously the new stereo doesn't play nice with the underseat amp. The reference "can't utilize the dash speakers unless using the amp" is because the dash tweeters are only wired to the amp, not the radio harness connector.

You can try to find wiring diagrams for the amp itself to see if you can still use it, but you may wind up having to make a set of jumper wires to your radio connector, or an audio adapter like you already have, to make the tweeters part of the system.

Word of warning: The tweeters cannot handle much power, so their input has to be throttled by something so they are not overloaded.

I was looking at everything and realized the radio harness adapter is just the basic adapter with the power , illumination, etc. There is no pins for the speakers. I knew that is my problem with no sound at all. I figured that line converter would help but it didnt. I ended up just removing the adapter and converter and just using a factory radio. I bought a bluetooth adaper for cigarette lighter port. I can listen to my phones playlists and fast charge it at the same time. And I get to use all 6 speakers. I would mark this resolved but it doesnt really resolve how to integrate all 6 into an aftermarket radio with no hacking of the harness like I intended to do at first. One day I'll hopefully get it figured out.
