Ok i need some help. my 4g64 has no power. usally after i do an oil change i notice some power difference but there is nothing. i used fuel cleaner and injector cleaner and still nothing. the only thing that i can think of is that my timming is off, would this cause the no power problem. i just change the crank pully and think i might have jumped i few teeth. if this wouldnt cause me to have no power what else would?

The million dollar question...did you have power before you changed the crank pulley and how long to before there was no power?

to start off i do notice some power out of changing my oil. the engine just seems to run better. secondly it was about two or three weeks after i changed my pully that i noticed it, and i really noticed it when i got on the line with a stock integra and the girl just took me from the line. my plugs are brand new, and the wires are clean. i am not getting a check engine light so i know the enigne is not missing, but it feels like it is vibrating a little when i am at idle. is that my balance shaft belt? the only thing that i didnt do was the fuel filter.

if your timming belt skipped one tooth you would most likey see a CEL come on. I notice a little difference when i change my oil too, it runs so much better and cooler.

at least i am not the only one. i am going to stick it on the timming light tommorrow any way. and check both of the belts. the engine is rocking too much for it to be something other then that

well that was not my problem everything looks good there i am running out of ideas. the plugs and wires are good. and my air filter is good. any other ideas? from what i know they stopped using a fuel filter in the spyders and the 2000 plus eclipses

HAHAHA sounds like he has been playing alittle too much Gran Turismo 4 ROFL I guess I may not notice a change because I change my oil every 2000 miles

i was reffering to an external fuel filter. all cars have filters right on the pump.

well i finally figured out my problem. one of my valves collapsed and the seals on the exaust is leaking back into the cylinder head. i cant wait to have fun and tear the head down to fix it all,.

i guess if it wasnt for my bad luck i would have none at all. i am getting rid of the car and going for a little bit of a different approach at mitsu. 03 lancer oz. my spyder just likes to fall apart so it is time to part with it.
