I've had a skip on my Laser (4G63) since I've gotten it. Cylinder #4 is not hitting. It has 125+lbs of compression, spark plug fires, and I've cleaned the injectors. I swapped injector plugs and it starts to hit. Bypassed the #4 injector plug and spliced wires from the #1 injector plug and it straightened out and is running on all 4 cylinders 😮 Could it be the ECU or maybe a break in the wires for the #4 injectors? Gonna run new wires for it tomorrow and see if that changes anything, just want some thoughts on the subject or see if anyone else has run across this issue. 😎

Only a few things in the chain. ECU, Injector, Injector Resistor, and Wire. If you see voltage at the injector with the ignition on it would point towards the ECU end not pulling the injector low to fire it but if you don't then you need to work towards the battery and see where it goes away.

I'm not currently driving the vehicle, I only merged the wires for troubleshooting purposes. I un-merged those wires and the vehicle is running fine now. Not sure if the ECU was able to detect that it wasn't running right and fix itself or if it was just a fluke somewhere 🤷🏽
