All of a sudden my car has no power when off(no dome lights and tadio doesnt store settings) and when in acc same thing. I start the car and everything works.

Im sure there has to be a fuse but which one could it be? Im on my way to work so cant dig around too much this morning and hoping for an easy answer

looks like that'd be fuse 19, 10 amp

comes direct from battery for a bunch of lights, some radio, and oddly part of the mpi control unit

Would the fusible link going bad cause this? Car died 4 blocks away like alternator crapped out.. alternator is only a but over a week old... and no power steering leaks.

Did you kill the battery ? Maybe you blew the 80amp alt fusible link in the engine bay when you swapped out alts

Well car started but then died while driving. I restarted it and got home. Alternator doesnt appear to charge.. battery was holding at 11.8v. Odd that no acc. Power but would start. Fuse 19 is good still.

I wonder if the fuseable link has domething to do with acc power. On my way to grab one now. Not sure what else it could be at this point.

And the winner is

Fuseable link.... as soon as it went in all dome lights and buzzers worked and car is charging at 14 volts again

Thanks for the help

What do you think made the fuseable link go bad? Any idea?

That's real easy to do, even though we all know to disconnect the battery it still slips by and even I am guilty of it. It didn't kill your big 80 amp fuse though and mine did so I see how it happened. Very glad that's all it was and your back to driving not working on it!!!
