I was driving home the other day and my car just cut off. Fuel is getting to the fuel rail. I have no spark and the car will turn over but won't crank. I tried following steps out of the haynes manual and I got to the part were it wanted me to check my mfi/ fuel pump relay. I checked that and it wasn't getting any ohms.

Would that cause my car to cut off while im driving?

Another thing is when I checked the connector that is connected to the coil (forgot the name of it) the test lite would turn on but wouldn't blink when I would turn it over. I tried searching but I started to get confused.

Mine did that twice, first time it was the cam angle sensor and the second was fouled spark plugs but the second time wasnt while driving.

I am still trying to troubleshoot my problem. I am now trying to check my crank angle sensor. I noticed that the timing belt rubs angainst it a little bit and also the timing plate has marks on it. Looks like the sensor was rubbing on it. What color are the wires am I suppose to check? I think I did it right from out of my Haynes manual but im not for sure. If this checks out ok then I am going to test the cam angle sensor.

It was the crank angle sensor. I fixed it, car started, put everything back on, took the car off the jackstands, go to start it again, and it doesn't fire. I am getting spark and fuel. It popped out the exhaust but wouldn't fire. Im really frustrated now because I am stumped.
