Courtice,
IS it safe to run without a maf? my maf broke and im driving with out one right now. still decent power and doesnt bogg. im getting a new one soon but just asking. thanks

I don't agree that it would blow the motor.. But you do need one on there..

I would get a new one, as it will waste a lot of gas.
But I bet if you hook a logger to it the ecu is getting a signal to run. The ecu is just faking it so that the car can still run.
It will go to a pre-programmed map as a fail safe, as long as the maf is not shorted out.

Gas was actually good without it. i put one on and didnt see a difference in gas. the only difference i saw was the car didnt jump rpm when in neutral. it went from 900 to 1200 and back, so if your cars rpms are doing so, it could be that your maf isnt working right.
