No maf signal(gm maf and translator)

I just got my engine swapped into a 90 tsi awd shell. I installed a fmic with gm maf and translator when I did this. I am not showing any maf signal on my data logger. Palm IIIc w/ mmcd. When I start the car the maf jumps to around 80-100hz for a second and then to 0. Doesnt pick up when revved. I am getting power and ground to translator, and to the maf from the translator. The Leds in the translator both light when first powered. The green lights dimmly and then gets brighter if revved so I think that the translator must be seeing maf signal. I have tried 2 different maf sensors. What else should I be checking? I am not sure why the maf would read for about 1 sec when you start the car and then stop reading.

Did you ground the translator to the chassis? Dont use the harness ground thats too much draw for the ecus sensor ground.

No I didnt. Do you unpin it from the connector?

I found the problem. The wire to the computer had a break in it. It is fixed and reading properly now.

Now I have another question. I am not positive on which version of the translator I have. On the cover it says 2.02, but inside printed on the circiut board it says Rev. 1.7. The knobs are labled Aux, and then Base, WOT, Base, Wot. Under the first 2 it says MAF, and under the other 2 it says RPM if I remember correctly. I thought it was supposed to be Base, Idle, Mid, WOT? Can someone tell me where to find a manual for the version I have?
