I have a 1991 eagle talon tsi i bought the car not to long ago and it has a 3 inch gm maf and translator and an safc1. I need some help getting the maf setup for my injector size i have 680s in it and an 18g. i just need to know what to set the base on the translator to and maybe anything else or should i leave it all at 0 and tune with the safc im just stumped and the car runs like shit. I did a boost leak test and i have no leaks so anything at this point would be helpful to me. I tried looking at the maf setup but i dont see a chart for 680s and when i set my car for say 650s i still get fuel cut really bad and my egt flys up to 14 befor im even in second gear. I just really need some help on this guys any input would be very helpful i just need to know what i need to do.

thanks

There's a setting for 680s. Google is your friend. A quick search for 'MAFT DSM' brought up the fullthrottletech tuning guide.

You still need a logger to tune, if that isn't obvious. And with 680s your car is going to have drivability problems in the low end... the MAF-T and SAFC can't compensate for the increased injector deadtime that comes with larger squirters, or alter the timing maps. Just lie about the airflow, to alter the fuel delivery somewhat.

Boost leak test. I was in the shop when a 2G with a MAF-T setup came in... owner hadn't clamped it down properly, and the coupler to the TB elbow popped off. Major boost leak, so it was still fuel cutting like crazy and boosting crappy.
