No hassle turbo back exhaust setup?

Kyle your also on a vband. So rather than two bolts its just one,And as long as you clock it like a turbine housing you can just undo 1 bolt, take the clamp off and wiggle the exhaust loose.

Work smarter not harder.I always took off the o2 housing to swap the turbo..Now I just unbolt the turbine housing and the 2 bolts on the o2.Bamm alot more room to work..

You talking about a stock turbo?

Its like a 5 bolt flanged down pipe for any garret based turbo or like the subaru turbo flange for the vf39. Its a down pipe and flange all in one to bolt onto the stock mhi turbo. I didn't even know it existed untill the thread came up but it made perfect sense as soon as they started talking about it. I aways just purchased a 2 bolt flange down pipe and upgraded the o2 housing. What your talking about and have is a vband down pipe which is super easy to take right off the turbo.

I know what it is, my buddy has one. And he also didn't have to remove anything except the down pipe, was also vband though. I seem to have plenty of room even with a atmos dump alternator and oil filter.
It's not v-band. I seriously think you don't understand.

The bolt on the bottom is f*cking IMPOSSIBLE to get to without removing either the turbo or alternator no matter what tools you have. It's smashed up against the block and has a 3" piece of pipe in front of it.

Why this design was even considered is beyond me when the standard 2-bolt or 3-bolt downpipe flange provides zero restriction and makes the car 100 times easier to work on.

DON'T buy an o2 eliminator downpipe. Nothing like pulling your alternator and half the turbo off the car every time you need to drop the downpipe. :ohdamn:

Mine's not one of the o2 eliminater versions. I plan on running a o2 mounted waste gate once I upgrade turbos so i ordered a regular downpipe. My bad I forgot he's a 1g owner, wouldnt have made the suggestion if I had.

He didn't put the price in his original post. I believe it is in his 2nd post, in which he stated he didn't want to spend $500.

I have 3 of them in my garage right now, and I didn't pay $500 for any of them. a Full turbo back apex n1 can be had for far less than $500.

+1 on the APEXi turbo back, its the same system I run. New it will cost you 700 plus, but these days you can find them used for around 350-400.

Justin I'll agree with a stock flange o2 housing it would be harder but notnwith an aftermarket or custom.

This is no hassle in my opinion.

I had an SRS exhaust on my old FWD. Got it on with no welding. It seemed to be a half in short, but I got the bolts on and cranked it down haha. It was only $200, and SRS sells a matching downpipe now too which I think is only $150 obo, and you could probably get it for $100 or less.

Thata the o2 Eliminator DP.

That looks like such pain in the ass.

Also Since we have been ignoring the op.OP I bought my whole exhaust used o2 housing back for less than 500$

CL or the classifieds bro.

The bad thing about their downpipes is that they neck down to fit the stock cat.

That sucks, glad I never bought it then. It looked long enough to replace the cat to me, but I just checked and your'e right.

I think you are missing Justins point. You have a downpipe with a vband to the turbine housing. Justin is talking about an o2 eliminator downpipe which bolts to a non v band housing.

I doubt the OP wants to change his hot side just so he can find a downpipe.

Theres more o2 housings than just the stocker though. And even if you dont have a stock turbo you can still have an o2 housing tight? Right. Which you can get rid of and make one solid pipe like that picture. I get that justin was saying a stock 4 bolt dsm flange o2 housing, but it wasn't implied at first. An o2 housing is n o2 housing doesnt necessarily mean it's stock. But i digress.
