No EGR and EGR timing advance

I no longer have a functioning EGR on my car. Should I zero out the EGR timing advance maps? I've disabled the EGR through the periphery bits, so I'm guessing that also disabled the advance. In case I was still getting timing advance, I'm not sure if it might be a good thing since it's only for cruise conditions.
