i want to take my car to the next level, everyone has different advice...i wanna see wat the crazy dsmers here think, i have a 98 gst spyder, w/ a downpipe, cone air intake, hks bov for performance so far... i want to take it to the next level...not ready for an upgrade....and i hate aftermkaret exhausts....ne suggestions....

Maybe do something to the interior? Like get some nice leather, or replace the shifter knob. Or maybe just clean it & make it shine.

If you want faster you will have to go with an aftermarket exhaust sooner or later. Unless your "next level" strictly involves looks only. You can upgrade your intercooler pipes and get better also you need a boost gauge and controller. Getting a boost gauge would give you a reason to get a pillar pod so you can see them so theres a nice visual upgrade.

What sort of "next level" are we speaking of.

We need to know what your version of the next level is. Does it invlovle performance or just looks or a combo???

If you ask a general question you get general answers. Could you explain you hatred for aftermarket exhaust? Did it steal an old GF???? Whats the deal?

ya sorrie bout that guys, i meant performance, looks i got a bunch of stuff...i already have a boost guage, and turbo timer, i guess i forgot mention dat, basically to make it a little more faster, what should be the next mod(after dp, intake, bov, of course)

If you don't like the selection of aftermarket exhaust for our cars, then get some custom piping made, and pick the muffler you want. If you're looking for increased flow over stock, but not noise, then check out RS*R or a Magnaflow muffler. If you're looking for a near-stock look, then you can always buy the muffler you want, then weld on similar dual-tips. If you're concerned about the beehive noise, odds are it's not going to sound like crap. I believe it's really hard to make a turbo car sound like ass, compared to Civics.

A turbo car HAS to breathe the only way to get it to do that is with exhaust. You have a few options if you want it to look stock. The best, IMO, would be to get a nice O2 elim DP and put a cutout in then keep the stock catback. That way you get the most flow and perfromance, but also the sleeper look.


This gives you a nice upgrade path that is well thought out.
