Ok, so i am at a point now where any mod i can do next is going to cost me a bit of money. And i am not sure which i should do next. So i need everyones input. What i am looking at getting is: Tuning apperatus(SAFC&Datalogger), Upgraded turbo(evo16g???), Gabor's Feramic clutch kit, 15x8 rims with BFG drag radials.

My goal is to run consistent high 13's with drag radials. So with that in mind here are my current mods(copy and pasted from profile):
Greddy Type-S BOV;
Greddy EVO exhaust (3.15");
Apexi N1 Downpipe;
Greddy Intercooler Piping Kit (upper&lower);
Trust Turbo timer;
AutoMeter:Boost guage, A/F guage, and Volt guage;
Trust Intake Filter(removed airbox);
DejonTool Intake hardpipe;
TRUST manual boost controller @ 15psi;
18" Diablo Racing Wheels;
Tokico Premium Blue Shocks;
Tokico Lowering Springs 1.5";
225/40/18 Yokohama AVS Es100 front;
Sumitomo rear (225/40/18);
Powerslot Slotted Rotors;
Axxis Metal Masters pads;
Rear "ebay-brand" STB;
ES Motor Mount Inserts(f&r);

I would get the turbo upgrade and a logger to go with it. Then you will want a clutch, fuel pump, injectors, safc, and then probably a set of tires. Thats my opinion anyway. You might want to rewire the pump in the mean time.

yea, i wish i could do it all at the same time too. but that is why i am in the predicament i am in now. I cant afford to get the turbo, injectors, and the datalogger all at the same time.

The turbo is going to give you the best bang for the buck. T25s are piles of s**t. :)

You'll have to keep the boost down, but atleast it will have boost till redline, unlike the T25.

I would go for the wheels & tires. It is going to give you the best result right now as you are. You can get in the mid to low 14's with traction and that T-25.

Next would be the clutch. Those 2 things will get you ready for the power you will eventually get.

If you can buy and wait go with the turbo and tuning stuff. Wait till you have it all to put it in.

I second that!! :thumb:

I street race a lot, traction always play a big role in winning.

ok, but you wouldnt reccomend getting a turbo without proper tuning apperatus. those pretty much have to go hand in hand, right?

Yes

I know how hard it can be. I had my 20G for 2 months looking at me on a shelf till I installed it. There are potential problems you can run into and the tuning/fuel devices will help prevent them from occuring.

you had said you were maybe looking at getting an evo 16g I still hav my t25 and i just wanted to know from people why get the evo 16g when for just a little bit more you can get a t3/t4 turbo? i just dont understand ? spool time? what is it

To be honest here would be my approach.

Prep everything before doing any upgrade. Make sure problems are all corrected before taking a step forward.

The next thing to do is to make the car as efficient as possible at any boost level with any turbo. This includes things like

Inter cooler, exhaust, intake, TB, piping, exhaust manifold, O2 etc etc.

Then I would get the fuel system a little cusion so that I was able to add power in the future. This group includes.

Logger, gauges, fuel management, injectors, pump, filter, etc etc.

Then once that is done you can start adding the boost.

Boost controller, turbo, etc etc.

This is just the order I would go in to try and keep ahead of the potential problems. I don't feel comfortable telling you a particular upgrade but this is how I would look at it.

Once you have the engine and everything else taken care of then worry about power transfer (tires and clutch) as you will possibly hurt these things early if you are doing them in the middle (wearing out expensive tires when you don't need them, and burning the clutch figuring out how to drive on those crappy tires since you havn't upgraded them yet.)

agree, for a long life, estagblish a baseline, prep first. get best effeciency and experience on a turbo that can't outflow the engine, get used to readings.

once you are comfortable with what you are seeing getting, then add the turbo etc.

get a logger first, or dsmlink. upgrade fuel, then turbo. once the clutch goes get it and then those nice tires you want.

do you street race a lot ??? if you do and want to win, I would again/highly recommend you invest money on some drag tires/slicks before upgrading anything else because you got a descent amount of mods done already, without proper traction, you can get your ass rape by my friends hondas/acuras bolt-ons with drags/slicks launchin at 5k, I see this happen every weekend.

if you dont' street race a lot (1/4 mile) then go ahead and get the other parts you mention.

Well, the thign is that, i already have 18" rims and tires. and those are what i use for the street. So if i got the BFG's and 15's, they wouldnt see any more use than the 1320ft. of the 1/4 and the length of the taxi lane back to the pits. i would drive to and from the track on my 18's. I already have all of the proper engine mods to start getting serious. So would the general concensus be to get a clutch, because my clutch is starting to give way, and then get the tuning stuff, then trubo and tires?

16 or 17 inch rims are good if you can find a nice light pair.

Rota has some nice light 17's. As do MANY others. The 15's aren't going to get you much of a saving over the 16's/17's. Unless you have a thing for the ones you have, get yourself a nice set of one of those sizes and some nice wide tires and call it a day.

If you are going to be swapping wheel/tire combos then get yourself a nice set of slicks.

well yea, that is exactly what i said. i am not looking for daily driving rims. i already have my 18's and like them. i am going to get 15x8s, because the tires i want to get do not come in 16's, and 15" is perfect for a FWD drag car with BFGoodrich Drag Radials. I know what rim and tire combo i am getting, i just dont know what to get first.
