seat modification

hey guys searched the entire forum and internet and still no answers so i figured id ask

I have a sale pending on my 2g talon with leather seats. More or less he is taking the car if he can fit into the drivers seat. He likes the condition of the car but when he test drove it the first time he had a hard time squeezing his legs under the stearing wheel

since then i adjusted the seat and got and inch or two downward movement and an inch back but im afraid that it still wont be enough

I personally am 6 foot 2 but im thinner then this guy, hes about the same height but built more like a linebacker

so my question is, being that the seat wont adjust any lower with the motors, is there any way i can get it to go lower still? or better yet is there anyway to adjust the stearing column so i can make that go higher,

with that i did find the lever and it is in its highest position, dont know if i can get under the dash and adjust that a little higher as well

guess this goes out to the bigger guys on the forum who got sick of being squeezed in the 2gs

Yeah, I'm 6'3" and I have the same problem. Ya gotta remember that these cars are designed for people smaller than you and I. I went as far as seeing if a welding shop to cut the floorpan around the brackets and fashion a pan of sorts that lower the front 1/2" and the back abouts 1".

I have the same problem. I am 6'3 and my legs are less than an inch front he steering wheels at all times.

Ya i mean customization is possible, my dad did that with his mustang back in the day to get himself a little more leg room,

I personally have no issues with the room in the car, but this guys bigger then me and he s the first real legitimate buyer , hate to loose his interest because the seat cant go any lower, but hey it is what it is

how about the other angle, can that steering wheel column go any higher


any guys get under the dash and see if theres adjustment in that bracket at all? it seems like the dash itself has about 1/2 of room to go higher hell ill take it
