My question is this: should I get a Mach V/Slowboy stage 5 head, FIC 1150's, Koyo Radiator or a Stage 3 shep tranny rebuild, FIC 1150's, Koyo Radiator... Reason for the radiator is that the car currently runs a little hot ~200 because its still on the stock radiator.. Either way, I'll bet getting the head/tranny rebuild both before Jan. But only one before I get home in Oct. for R&R.

I searched and searched and found that many people don't think an upgraded head is truely needed but... So I figure most of you will say the Tranny,FIC's,and radiator first, especially since it's still on the stock tranny OMG

Also I'm getting 1150's because it'll be tuned for E85 :sneaky:. What kind of times would you think it's capable of with the current and next mods?? I'm thinking High 11's low 12's currently and mid to low 11's after the next mods?? Thanks for all the help guys :thumb:

If you're concerned about you coolant temps, buy the rad and some good fans first. It'll probably be the cheapest choice (next to the injectors), and it will buy you some piece of mind and insurance.

Yea, Money isn't really an issue so I'm not worried about the cost :thumb: Just only doing the head or tranny before Oct., and the rest afterwards :D. I've pretty much made up my mind though after making the post that I'm going to get the Shep stage 3 rebuild, Koyo radiator, FIC 1150's, Also going to throw a new clutch in.. not sure what clutch..

I was thinking the ACT 2900 w/ Street disk. Would that be a good choice or should I just get the PTT Twin Disk? Also, I found a Shep Stage 4 trans. w/ Quafie LSD That I think I can pick up for a little more than the stage 3 rebuild will cost me; it currently has ~500 miles on it.

Yea I plan on having the tranny done by october, which is when I'll get to take it to the track as well :D I come home from Iraq on R&R in Oct. So I'm wanting to have it ready when I get there ROFL
