I have about to spend and im looking at getting into the low 11's. So far on my car is
16g turbo
2g maf with intake
custom 3" cat back exhaust
walbro 255
pr fmic
center force clutch
hallman boost controller
boost, water temp, and oil pressure gauges

My motor is rebuilt with 0 miles on it. My talon is 1990 awd. I was thinking about getting ecmlink just to get it out of way and what a next mod to get huh.
I want to get rest of exhaust done too. Cams will also be added to list. Just want your guys thoughts. Dont bash me cause I wanna run 11's and havent ran a 12 yet. I know what my goals are and that in the long run, I want 450+hp and low 11's.
I know it can be done on 16g. Ive seen it done with cams and e-85.

if i were you id order the dsmlink v3 full right now and then shop for a wideband

go with the aem uego, it does the job well, works with dsmlink, and has a nice sleek black gauge

Cool. Thats what I was leaning on. I do have stock 450's but Im picking up some 1000cc injectors from my friend. I wanna get wideband but need downpipe same time to install both. I heard afpr are overrated. My last talon was bout 450hp without afpr. I just figured with link no matter what I add to car I can just tune for it.

agreed, link and a wideband. also what kind of engine internals are you using? as said before what size injectors do you have? do you have a big, small 16g?

This phone acting weird. Anyway I have stock 450cc and big 16g. Wideband is def going to be uego but gotta get my downpipe same time too install the wb into dp. Suspension will be done after link and injectors.

After maintainence, which i assume is done on a 0 mile engine. My order would be:
1- link v3 lite, you can always get full later
2- wideband
3- 1200+ injectors, if your planning e85 I would go 1600+
4- afpr, which you should already have since you have a 255
And then move onto the cams etc. as for cams I would recommend delta if your on a budget there h272s or k272s depending on your springs/retainers

id go with the bigger afpr for 2 reasons: form, and function. it looks good under the hood and when youre pushing that 16g you know you have 43 psi at the fuel rail

you dont need a WB before DP.If you buy your DP w/o a bung you can have one welded in for you before you install. any muffler shop will have a plug to go in the empty bung while you wait for your WB.

link can tell your ocmponents what to do but the bigger you go the more likely something will go wrong on stock components. keep duty cycle low as much as possible and increase the life of your car

I dont think i really need afpr. I wanna try stay pump gas/race gas at track. Not sure whats involved with making my car e-85 friendly. Ill go as big injector I have to. The cams will be jun 272s ( if i can even find them anymore) if not hls 272 will work with springs and retainers.

Link, wideband, injectors, afpr. All installed at the same time. Thise 4 things are pretty much must haves for what you want to do.

Plenty of opinions of how to spend your money here. Start by looking at the upgrade path and using that to form your own decisions.

Tech Guide - DSMtuners

You can't have too much air (larger turbo) without fuel (larger injectors). You can't have more fuel without a way to tune. You can't tune without a way to monitor what's going on. Basically any area that receives attention at this point will be welcome.

When starting a thread, please use a descriptive and searchable thread title as well.
