next mod ??

Hey guys. New member here I have a 95 talon tsi, pretty stock right now. All it has is a K&N FIPK filter, 3 inch downpipe and a 3 inch catback. I was thinking of getting some cams next. Good idea ? Would the Comp 101200 be ok ? Is there a differnce between these Comps and the dks 272? Which are better ? What are some other minor mods that I can do now to get some power without changing the turbo right now? In the future I plan on getting a 50 trim turbo.

You know you can check out upgrade path under the tech forum, but if I were you I would stay away from the cams for now. A boost gauge, BOV, HICP, and a boost controller would be much more beneficial to you right now. The cams will become a better mod after all of the supporting modifications have been completed and horsepower gains will be more noticeable.

And please, please, PLEASE make sure you do all the mainanence FIRST. Timing belt, all fluids, compression test, boost leak test etc...

already did some of the "free mods" and changed the fluids and stuff. So cams wont be good right now ? If I get a boost controller, how high can I set boost on stock fuel pump,injectores,etc ? I have enough money saved up for cams so I might just get comp 101200 cams and then later on get a boost controller/guage. From the original post, are Comp 101200 or the dks 272 the same ?

Dude, you got some serious reading and research to do. This has been covers a zillion times before. Use the search button first before your post. Cams right not is not necessary.

Your next mod should be a datalogger, without it you will get nowhere.

not as much as a UICP, boost gauge, boost controller, 1g bov, datalogger, etc etc....basically you won't notice the power difference without first upgrading other parts of your engine...

and with all the money you would spend on cams, you can easily make more power spending those 500 to 600 bucks on the other things I mentioned

Ok thanks guys. So I'll probly get a boost controller and guage. What boost conterller do you recommend? How much pounds can I run on stock fuel setup? 15-16 ? Is a new Bov needed ? Ands whats a UICP? sorry for all the questions

15psi will be fine, once you get a new Upper Intercooler Pipe and Blow off Valve as the stock BOV leaks around 12psi.

Cams would be a good mod AFTER the 50 trim...

one more question...whats the stock psi on the talon ? I took of that little restricter under the "free mods" and it said that bumps it up 2 or 3 psi. How much power will I gain when its at 15 psi ?

You won't gain much with the T-25. You won't even notice it, it's already running out of breath as it is.
