hey guys im putting a engine in my eclipse gst 98 automatic the engine i bought was outta a manual gst we put the motor in tonight and went to put the starter on and it wont bolt up. i had no clue that shields between the engine and tranny are different so what should i do? Can i drill a hole thru the shied so the starter lines up or do i have to pull the engine back out and switch shields? let me know the engine isnt really all the way bolted just the tranny and the motor mount on the driver side

ok thats what i was thinking but its gonna be kinda hard since the tranny is in i may have to find one of them L shaped drills
