Newbie exhaust question

Well I jave a question about the dsm exhaust..My 90 probe gt I put on a a 2 1/2 inch full exhaust and stock turbo on it was boosting at 16 psi exhaust was very helpful..Anyway I heard that dsm's run best with 3inch exhaust is that true..What about running strait out the caytilic converter--the cat-- would that help with turbo spool and horsepower..I would like to get the best exhaust performance I can just for 1 night and since im broke I was wondering about running exhaust strait ot the cat just for saturday nite...Your thughts

i thin it would be fair to say that 3" exhaust works best for our cars.

i guess im a bit confused at the rest of your post though. are you meanig to say that your going to hack your exhaust AFTER the cat? for one night? if so, i hope you can weld. that probably wouldnt make TOO much of a difference anyways, maybe if you just went one step further and hacked it BEFORE the cat, then you'll notice a slight difference.
