Ever since I put my turbo on It seem like I have no more bottom end power.Could it be because I also put on a cat(3" Magnaflo).Or should I be using one of those big flow through mufflers. The muffler I have now is a modified HD muffler. It still has 4 baffle plates(I think thats what they are called) in it.I used to be able to shred my tires through 1st and 2nd untill they finally grabbed the pavement. Now I can't even catch any spin through 2nd anymore.can someone help me find my balls?

You've put a huge restriction in your exhaust, until you get to the optimal rpm range of the turbo, you'll be producing much less power.
Although, I would think you'd still be able to "chirp" your tires.

I guess its gonna take some time to get used to.Doesn't feel nothing like it was! I still wonder if I put on a different muffler will it help?My speed shop guy used to give me alot of help making power with a N/A motor (owns a couple topfuel dragsters)but he doesn't seem to no much about turbos.he only has one turbo in the whole store, and its a kit for a honda. No mitsubish parts whatsoever.its all honda shit at his place.Every thing I need he has to order for me.So I couldn't have done none of this with out the help from u guys!thanx

I couldn't tell you if your muffler is causing it. I highly doubt it, though. It could cause you to lose power, but the loss wouldn't be that noticeable, unless it's extremely restrictive.
Perhaps nothing is wrong, and your over exaggerating the losses at the lower end. Or, you could be right, it's hard to tell without being there.
For now, lets assume something is wrong. Check your AFR's, since that was a main thing that was tampered with during the turbo installed, and if incorrect could definitely cause a massive lack of power.
Check you're airflow, make sure there's no blockages. What does your boost gauge read throughout the power band? Do a compression test...
If you think something is wrong, think about what the likely suspects could be, and prove that they are working correctly, or incorrectly.

My compression is good(don't rember exact numbers).I'm not sure how soon boost should be commin on(never owned a turbo before)but I'm getting between 5 to7 psi at wide open throttle.I don't think wastegate ever opened. No soot around edges. If I'm not getting 7psi then it shouldn't open anyway right?I'm not sure wich spring came already installed with the wastegate but I'm guessing it would be the 7psi.I cant tell which spring is which, they gave me 2 extras. All couplers are double clamped accept the one commin off my turbo was too big so I split a coupler in half and wrapped it around turbo first then put another coupler over that one to make it more snug. There is a slight hole were the first coupler overlaps.Do you think that small hole could make that much difference? As far as the muffler goes:Its baffles have 1 1/2" opening in the center of each one,and a 1" opening on one side of each baffle.I made the muffler 14" long and put in 4 baffles. The opening in the back of my muffler has 1 1/2" in the center and I drilled 8 1/2 hole all the way around the end of muffler

It is a cheapo ebay kit(t3/t4)! $925 for almost every thing. But I still should be getting alot more power with the turbo than without,no?I do have a slight leak were the piping hooks up to the turbo.Ineed to get the right size coupler to reduce down to the turbos size.should that one leak make all the difference? This IS my 1st turbo!so any help would be apreciated.

If there are holes in your couplers then that is most likely your problem. Its hard to build pressure if it can escape. It would be like trying to blow up a balloon with a hole in it.

Yeah, I assumed you were using a T3/T4.
You say you're getting 7psi reading on your boost gauge, and I assume your boost gauge is hooked up to your intake manifold. So, obviously even if you are losing pressure, it's not enough to effect it that dramatically. Although, you could be overworking your turbo.
Also, if your boost gauge is stopping at 7psi, then your wastegate is opening, otherwise you would continue to build more boost.
Check out some of the other things I stated in my previous post.

well I just got back from pickin up new rotors and motor is still doin the same thing but only once and a while.I'm making boost up to 7psi but sometimes when I hit 5000rpm the rpms stop climbing(only once and a while)but the boost is still there.Seems like I'm not getting enough fuel.Is that what everybody calls fuel cut?So I pick up a new fuel filter incase that dirty ,crusty fuel filter under my car is the culprit! Is that possible? The car does'nt stutter or nothin it just stops pullin around 5000rpm(sometimes).Always use to climb to 6500rpms with no problem when N/A.Got the motor out of a eclipse that was impounded.82,000 on the motor.fluids were perfectly clean.and you could of eat off the motor it was so clean too.We did a compression test while the motor was out and passed with flying colors.cams and every thing under valvecover looked like new.the mechanic at the shop asked me if the top end was new,he didn't see no were on anything under the valve cover.I guess I just got lucky.only paid $550 for the whole motor and 5sp together.

He's making 7psi of boost, so obviously he has an FCD, or he doesn't need one.
OP, yes, like I said earlier, it's probably fuel related so post back once you put your wideband in.
