are there any companies that make new trannies for 2g gsx? all i can find is rebuilds

swap0ne said:I had the same problem with the grinding noise starting with the second gear...sounded worst the more I drove it. I had to get the transmission rebuit because of bad bearings, paid about 1500 with a new clutch...
bulletproof is definetly the last word i would use to describe a dsm tranny. they are perhaps the worst.95bLaCkGsTuRbO said:I had my 2g rebuilt by Shep as a stock over the counter rebuild for about $735. You won't need anything fancy unless you are running in the high 10's. 2g transmission's are pretty bulletproof already.
