my mods:

16g
uicp
190lph fuel pump
cut out
2g exhaust manifold

I was able to make a new personal best of 14.0 at 98 mph with a 1.9 60ft. My 8th mile was a 8.9 at 79 mph. Does this seem about right for my mods? I was on 14lbs of boost and pump gas.

Feedback is appriciated.

Get yourself a set of 550's or 650's and an S-AFC to trim it up a bit. Logger aswell.

Your car is capable of 12's. Been proven several times.

My car will never see an afc. And it will very likely never see large injectors. I've been too unimpressed by the tuning capabilites they offer. If I want high boost on pump gas, I'll go water injection.

MY car is not capable of 12's. Just because someone else did it in some other car means nothing.

Well damn. :|

I've been thinking the same thing. I dont quite want an safc and injectors. Im doing fine with 'boltons'.

I still think that on race gas with the 14b and some good driving, my mods could get me low 13's. Good enough.

But yes, good job. at 14 lbs with just those minimal mods, you did well. ever thought of getting a hard intake pipe? I bet if you could get that 60' down to a 1.7 or 1.8 you could see high 13's :thumb:

Just suggestions.

A 16g running on the stock injectors is pretty useless. The 14b can max them out. If a 2G FWD can get there with an S-AFC, most of you AWD guys should. But, you know your car better than I. There are other ways of controlling the injectors than an S-AFC.

www.dsmchips.com can help you if you want to go the NO device route.

Opinions are just that, opinions. What works for some might just not work on others, I suppose. OMG

You said feedback is appreciated, so I'll accept your thanks ahead of time.

You are right. Your car is not capable of 12's. Not on stock injectors with no tuning. Especially not with your attitude.

You will continue to run slow times if you choose to stay with stock injectors. I can only imagine what unimpresses you about the safc. I guess those guys who have used it + a 2g maf to cut 10's were doing it more because of dumbluck than the power it offers to those who know what they are doing.

Water injection on the other hand is a great idea. But what is the point with 450's and no way to tune?

Went back to the track tonight. Only got one pass in all night.

1.827 60ft
98.5 mph
13.66 e.t.

A touch too much boost (16lbs) and the car began to cut out around 5k so I short shifted very early.

Could have made a 13.5 pass but the bikini contest and funny cars cut most of the grudge racing out.

I'm going to install the downpipe and o2 housing along with gm mas air and I promise I'll see 12's on pump gas. Water injection and high boost will go very far.

Try to run some leaded gas 112oct at min if your bypassing your cat. If your still having problems check your plugs. I've read that a 16g will over run "100%duty cycle" on 550cc injectors on pumpgas, let alone 450's. If you want to avoid the safc, install a 2G mass airflow sensor and some 550's should compinsate nicely. Good luck.
