New to tuning I have some questions.

Ok guys I've got a 90 Talon TSI with. Mild built motor and a 16g turbo 660 cc injectors, walbro 255 etc.. Any ways I wanna be able to tune my car. I've never done this before and it needs a tune bad. What do I need to but to be able to do this. I've read a dsm link but what else would I need to get so I can?

Dsmlink is a huge help. Yes it's pricey but can do anything you like. Safc is an option but can go over 650 injectors. Wideband is a have to.

Sorry boys forgot to mention I have a aem wide band and boost gauge and manual boost controller. Am I going to need a laptop or any programs?

Nobody is saying which wideband, but alot of people on here will agree that he innovate lc1 wideband is probably the best. You can log off of it and is really one of the most accurate. I have seen alot of AEM widebands be off. This claim is also from personal experience, my buddy tunes cars for a living and they can be off by alot.

+ 1 on the aem. I have one sitting in the front seat of my talon. Trying to log off it was next to impossible, unless, you are running an aem ems. Then, it works well. Lc-1 gets my vote and its what I run. You'll see, eventually.
Back to topic, yes on the laptop. And you'll need a chipped ecu. 90 ecu usually came with an eprom, so I would say pull your ecu from under the dash and remove the 4 screws on the sides and verify it has an eprom ecu. If not, then you have 2 options. Have it retrofited or find one you can buy or convert your ecu harness to a 91 style ecu. Tons of write ups on that here. Now you know enough to start your research.

I have a 90 im on my android on the tap talk app and It won't let me change my info. I used to have a 95 rs. What does a eprom look like sorry im new to this?

Ostrich is another option... Seems to be more common in the UK. It will allow full tuning also.
