What can i do to eliminate knock, this is on a big 16g turbo at 28-30lbs, wideband is at 10:1 at wot the whole pull, dont feel any breaking up or any detination..

My car was tuned on 30lbs of boost on a dyno and had less than 0.8degs of knock on full pulls, now im getting over 5degs sometimes and would like to know what i can do to change that, ive also lowered the boost all the way to 24lbs and still am getting knock.

laser shark, i was wondering if running 3/4 91 and 1/4 e85 would help? as i was told by a reputable shop? also i forgot to add the plug gap is at .022 as .028 was being blown out and causing breakup, oi have dropped boost to as low as 24lbs and still get knock, and how would i go about lowering ignition timing as im a newbie to speed density, well ecmlink in general

Start by watching the ecmlink videos, its annoying and tedious but it really helps get a grasp on things, also fill out a profile when you get a chance tried to take a look at yours but you dont have one.
You have to find a happy balance with boost and ignition timing especially when on 91. 91 is all I have too so I went with water/meth injection.

Look at knock events in your log. Look at the DA timing table and click track datalog. It will highlight the timing cell(s) you are in during that event.

Start by retarding timing by the amount of knock you are seeing.

Repeat a few logs until you have eliminated knock. Interpolating surrounding cells is good too

I would log wideband but the wideband i have is made by Glowshift. Its the maxtow series. It does have logging wires i just dont know how to wire it. And for boost i think i need a 3 bar map sensor right? My wideband stays rich into boost at 10.0 - 10.5 max..

Also that pull was yesterday at fontana quarter mile. I ran a 13 flat at 105mph my 60ft was 1.7.

the glowshift wideband datalogging wires - brown is 0-5v wideband signal and black is ground. wire it up as ecmlink suggests for your ecu model. then log is as Linear Wideband, input the switch point as 2.50. Then you can post logs showing the wideband and we can then figure out what is up with the tune.
