New to tuning, have a few questions

Hey guys, I think Ive come to a point where I need to be able to see my car's vitals, and possibly adjust/tune things. I understand that something like a logger is pretty usefull even on a stock car. So far I have no aircan, K and N filter, and a Joe P MBC(which isnt working at the moment ) Anyways, I'm getting a stumbling/stutter at higher RPM's which is completely random. While it does this, it throws a code. So I figure getting a logger will just make things easier to diagnose this and other things. I guess that with a logger you cant adjust anything, it just logs information. How usefull is this compared to say DSMlink? So what if I do see a problem with the logger, what are my options for getting it corrected if I cant fine tune anything? Also, is there anyplace to get link cheaper?

A logger will be the most important thing you could ever buy for your car. Period. DSMLink is obviously better, and well worth the money. Well worth it. It is also very easy to use, for the most part.

It just depends what your problem is that you see. What it is related to etc... You are right about you cant adjust things with a logger, only see them. But by buying an AFC you can adjust your fuel which is the basis of tuning a car.

And no, it is rather pricey. But like I said and many people will agree with me, it is WELL worth the money. If and only if you plan on modding your car that much. If you just want to run 13's then you do not need DSMLink.
