I just sold my honda civic...those cars are easy to mod light body...get a motor (jdm type R) bolt ons cams an tuning and that got me high 12's blahh w/e. I decided to buy this
GS-T now to start something new it has 84k miles has exhaust, intake, dejon piping and boost controller. Is there anything i should look to watch out for on Dsm's usual problems? of the sort
my plans is just upgrading the turbo... HKS SSQ BOV ..front mount... pistons..rods..and tuning just throw some ideas my way to help me out and what to look for down the road. Alot of my buddies are honda heads so all they say is "ha your gonna blow up those cars suck ass" but there biased assholes.ROFL
 
Welcome to the world of DSMs. a love-hate relationship if you ask me haha. The stupidest little things will break and drive you insane:beatentodeath: But, when everything is running good you couldn't be happier. And make sure you get your fuel system done if you expect to be running a bigger turbo etc. Good luck :thumb:
 
Don't let people scare you with the "crankwalk" deal... If it happens, drop a six bolt in, otherwise just don't worry about it til it happens. And make sure you don't vent your BOV to atmosphere... Recirculate! Yeap. Have fun, I am still lookin. :-(
 
If you plan on building the engine. Then you should pick up a 6 bolt block. Don't build your 7 bolt and let it walk on you. Then you have to start all over. Plan ahead. That way you can build the engine on your spare time, then drop it in when it's complete. This way, you can still drive your car while your building the other engine.
 
no doub tthanks for the advice im probably going to leave the 7 bolt as is an pick up a 6 bolt an work on that on the side. ive heard from a buddy that drives a evo that the mods thats on the eclipse i just purchase it wouldnt be good to put a bov. he didnt explain why as u see i live in a place where ppl dont explain there answers they just tell me and expect me to lsiten. i told him i was thinking of put a hks ssq bov on and only shit done to my car is exhaust and bs intake and dejon piping, and boost controller(which im not touching because im not tryin to bump the psi just leaving it stock ). i


ve been reading up on dsm's all day im getting to know a little bit but i have wayy more to go... haha starting over sounded a better idea in my head. but yeah...
