ECUflash New to Evoscan and logging

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Log Knock Sum, Timing, Knock Timing Retard, MPH, Engine Temperature, RPMs, 02 Sensor at the VERY least to get a decent picture of your engine. I don't remember if EvoScan as Knock Timing Retard though.

For logging WOT:

Load (ECULoad max out at 160, log 2Byte Load or 1Byte Load if using CeddyMods)
RPM
Knock
Wideband
AFR_Map
TPS
Boost (If MAP Sensor hooked up)

The above items will allow you to tune the Timing and Fuel maps at WOT.

Load and RPM tell what cell you are in on the map.
Knock tells if you need to reduce timing in that cell. (Or adjust fuel)
WideBand and AFR_Map show if you need to adjust Injector Size.

alright thanks guys. And ceddy dont i need to have a wideband sensor to actually log acurate afr? My next upgrade is gonna be ecuflash, but i just got evoscan now because i was worried about knocking.

Also i forgot to ask which setting do i use the "96+ obdII" or the one that says DSM/3000gt/Ecl.?

MUTIII if you have a 97-99 ecu.
