new to DSM

Hey everyone, i am new to the DSM world although, i have always wanted 1. Right now i am looking at a 91 TSi awd that needs the motor rebuilt. I have rebuilt my share of V8's and have a turbocharged small block in a S-10. But that is beside the point. I am just here to say hey and whats up. But any insight in the first rebuild of a 4g63 motor would be much appreciated.

Welcome! ....unless you have some kind of specific question im pretty sure no one is going to really give you anything, but use the search option and im positive you will find what you are looking for and good luck on the build!

at the very least you could put in 2g pistons, remove the balance shafts, and get a Mitsu metal or Cometic head gasket with some ARPs.

ya i had planned on the cometic head gaskets with some studs. Really i am just looking for some pointers or tricks for building these little motors.
