New timing belt defecs?

Ok so I got my timing kit in from extreme psi a few days ago and I just inspected the oem timing belt to find this...

Has anyone else noticed threads showing on parts of an oem belt or this kind of discoloration? Should I be concerned? Thanks for the input.

Okay. Thanks guys. This is just the first oem belt ive ever seen and I was a little concerned. Awesome.

Yeah Im just doing a rebuild and I ordered the same belt a few weeks back. Mine looked the same and I went with it. Car just need the wires put on everything and its down to run. Like said, you should be fine.

Thats perfectly normal.And just for future reference I don't know how much you paid for th OEM stuff from extreme psi but you can get a gates belt from rockauto.com for about 26$. Just as good quality. My friends car makes 650awhp and is running that belt.
