Hello all!

The power steering pump went out on my 1990 Eclipse GST (FWD) so I ordered a replacement through CarParts.com. It's an A1 Cardone Reman product. I got this pump installed yesterday and bled the air out of the system while topping off with Valvoline Max Life power steering fluid. I took the car for a drive to test her out, and stopped to fill up the tires at a gas station after it had been sitting for several days. While I was doing that, I noticed that power steering fluid was dripping from the bottom of the vehicle.

When I arrived home, I popped the hood and found that the fluid was leaking from the pulley in the power steering pump I installed. The fluid appears to be spewing out when I turn the steering wheel.

It looks like there's a 60-day return policy through CarParts.com, but a 30-day return policy through A1 Cardone. I could theoretically attempt to return / exchange the part, but the site indicates that there is currently only one other pump left in stock. Should I attempt to go that route, or is there something I could do with the power steering pump to eliminate the leaking from the pulley?

Looks like a bad shaft seal to me. Not that hard to replace but definitely a defect that would warrant a RMA.
BTW, it takes ATF instead of power steering fluid.
